Ali brings a wealth and depth of experiences – both lived and professional – to his work. He has been a lifetime educator and administrator for 25+ years and has assumed many roles over the years including: DEI practitioner, community builder, teacher, coach, parent, board member, sponsor, mentor – all in independent schools. In addition to his independent school work, Ali is also a seasoned higher education leader, financial aid expert, community impact leader, and former professor who, over his career, has proudly taught ages 5 to 65.

Most recently, Ali served for 11 years as the Director of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion and Director of Fellowship Programs at a competitive, Pre-K-12 independent school. Ali co-founded the Saturday Summit on Social Justice and led the Middle School MOSAIC Diversity Conference, serving up to 200 people in Fairfield and Westchester counties in Connecticut and New York. Ali led the Fairchester Diversity Practitioners Network (FDPN) for 9 years, offering support, guidance and mentorship to 50+ professionals in the area.

Ali is an educational consultant who has led hundreds of workshops, been featured on many panels at national conferences and loves to collaborate. He holds a MSEd in Higher Education Administration from Baruch College (CUNY) and a BFA in Theater Arts from Southern Methodist University.
